This scares me. It scares me because at these two moments this person was HAPPY. Regardless of where she was or what state, at that moment she was happy! The photo@on the right was taken in 2010 in Fiji When I was surprised by a lovely birthday breakfast, I wasn’t delusional about how I looked, I didn’t care, I was Happy! I knew there was a problem, I knew that it wasn’t healthy and it got worse. It was the year I piled on the last 20kg that tipped me to breaking point. It wasn’t until 3 years later that I’d do my VGS and then almost 4 years after that to do my first round of plastics. This journey is hard - someone asked me recently how did I get so big? I honestly don’t know. I wasn’t and have never been an emotional eater, when I visited the psychologist at the clinic prior to my sleeve he thought my attitude and look on life was amazingly positive, yes I had self esteem issue but I never stopped doing things. One thing only. But that’s for another post. I look at these pics now I see a happier person in the right photo but that’s to do with lots of personal and society changes that have occurred. Life is hard. Life is harder when your a big girl. Life is the hardest when you’ve had overwhelming life changes. ISSA ONE-HOUR LEG DAY! 🍑✅🙌🏽 ⬇️⬇️ I was 100% an asshole yesterday and got to the gym at 12 to hit legs when I planned to go to yoga at 1 sooo... ☝🏼Cranked the intensity UP ✌🏼Supersets were based around similar equipment/areas 🖖🏼Took short to no rests and freaking GOT IT DONE! 👏🏼 My heart rate was through the roof the whole time and my watch claims a 663 cal burn (but those are never 100% accurate!) . Here’s the full workout for you beauties! Save this one for the next leg day when you wanna be in and out in a jiff! 💨 ➡️8 minutes stairs . ▪️hamstring curl 3x10-15 SS. banded side to sides 3x20 . ▪️hip thrusts 4x8-12 (hold at top of each rep) SS. banded abductors 4x20 . ▪️hack squat step up 3x12/side SS. single leg side press 3x12/side . ▪️smith machine toe raised close stance squats 3x10-12 SS. smith machine toe raised reverse lunges 3x12/side . By the way hitting legs and then going directly to yoga is AH-MAZING ✨🙏🏼 Releasing all that muscle tension, I felt so rejuvenated this morning when I woke up! Cole slaw and #bakedwings . I used @keto.connect recipe to make them crispy! I sprinkled them with onion salt and garlic powder. Cole slaw is the cabbage mix, 1/4 cup of lemon, 1/4 cup of olive oil, green onions, tablespoon of pesto, tablespoon of mayo, and seasonings. Mixed the dressing first then added it to the slaw. So yummy!

But here we are, 189lbs and still going. My waist is almost at 32 inches too! So far in my journey, I've learned the secret to success is consistency and never giving up. If I gave up every time I binged or had a cheat meal or felt unmotivated or saw my weight go up, I would have never made it this far. It would have ended a long time ago. The reason I'm making progress is because I refuse to give up on myself. Sometimes we will make mistakes and fall off track. Actually, maybe most times we will make mistakes and fall off track. But the most important thing is that we get back up and keep moving forward. I'm so happy I didn't let myself stay in a rut at 198lbs, feeling as though my journey was over. I'm so happy I pushed myself to go beyond my comfort zone and fight for my goals. Because now I'm here, seeing the land of 180s. And the view just keeps getting better. There are always brighter days ahead, we just have to keep going 🙏 ♡ I'm on day 14 of my 30 day no cheat meal #gracieschallenge , which means I'm almost halfway through the challenge and 17.2lbs down from day 1 (March 5) and 8.8lbs down from the beginning of the month (March 1)!
